		Cambridgeshire's new Central Library has marked another chapter in its success by welcoming more than 17,000 visitors in its first week of operation. The Library, in Cambridge's Lion Yard, opened to the public on September 29, after a 7.5 million pound rebuild and refurbishment programme which created some of the most modern public library facilities in the east of England - which have already won wide acclaim from the public. As part of the investment programme Touch Screen Kiosks were identified as “must have solution” for users to access various web sites and information as approved by Cambridge Libraries. A tender process was implemented for 10 Kiosks for Cambridge Central Library, 3 of which had to conform strictly to DDA guidelines for wheelchair access and for 2 Kiosks for the redevelopment of Wisbech Library. Napp Pharmaceuticals contacted The Kiosk Company to provide a Kiosk solution that would allow employees to access personnel information (salary payment details, holiday forms etc.) to their production personnel. Five T3 Kiosk systems were chosen 1 of which is DDA standard for wheelchair access and fitted out to Napp's specification to include a 19” Touch screen with privacy glass, Upgraded memory to 4GB and Microsoft Vista Business software. The systems were installed at various locations within Napp Pharmaceuticals prestigious office and production complex at Cambridge Science Park.. .






		The new Shepherds Bush Library is now open to customers. Located at Westfield London, the £2 million library is one of the most exciting and innovative libraries in the country and has something for everyone. As part of the refurbishment a digital signage solution was required to delivery dynamic information to users across the library. The Kiosk Company have been chosen to supply all 116 rooms with Samsungs 32” Hotel TV together with Teleadapt's passive media hub allowing guests a unique solution for hotel room connectivity by offering internationally compatible connection ports.






		Arena Leisure Plc is a dynamic leisure group that is constantly evolving. Currently, the operations consist of seven racecourses which stage 25% of all racing fixtures held each year, making Arena Leisure the UK's largest operator of horseracing The Holiday Inn Garden Court Hotel adjoining Wolverhampton Racecourse required an upgrade of all their Hotel TV's to the latest Samsung LCD Flat Panel Hotel TV. The Kiosk Company supplied and installed all 54 units






		The Council and Luton Cultural Services Trust were awarded £1,247,000 from the Big Lottery Fund to improve the Central Library and increase the range of learning available. With extra funding from both organizations, around £1.8 million has been spent on improving the library. 			The Perse is Cambridge's oldest secondary school and was founded by Dr Stephen Perse, a Fellow of Gonville & Caius College, nearly 400 years ago. Today the Perse is one of Britain's top co-educational day schools. The Upper school at Perse had a unique Digital Signage Project. Unique, because the school runs Microsoft SharePoint Server software, which outputs files in a SharePoint format. The requirement was to find a Digital Signage System that would import these files and play out to various screens without any additional reformatting or lengthy conversion. After extensive research by The Perse School the Digital Signage Software chosen for the project was Sedao's suite of Digital Signage Products. The only software tested by Perse that would import SharePoint files directly into Sedao. Responding to local residents desire for "ease of access, courtesy, information, taking responsibility and making things happen" in providing council services, Contact Islington aims to put customers first every time. In September 2006, winning the National Customer Service Centre of the Year Award gave national recognition to our commitment to customer service. As part of Islington Council's commitment to continue to review and improve their customer services, it was decided that within the refurbishment of the contact centre 3 self service kiosk were to be installed to provide customers with the ability to set up direct debits, pay for parking tickets,etc, and to browse the councils web site for extensive information and range of services. The kiosk company provided the Kiosk systems from our T range. The very stylish wall mount kiosk option was chosen as it delivers a stunning looking system, is also one of the few Kiosk systems with such a slim profile and as it is wall mountable can be fixed at any height to provide full wheelchair access.






			Traffic Wales is the Welsh Assembly Government's traffic information service. Providing critical traffic alerts, Latest News reports, Including highway maintenance, Information services and weather reports, via the web, e-mail and SMS. Traffic Wales required a Digital Signage System at there offices in Cathay's Park the home of The Welsh Assembly Government. The installed solution Sedao Digital Signage Software running on LG 42” screens with embedded P.C. The system is currently running maps from Junction to Junction to show travelling times between junctions. Live CCTV images of selected roads and junctions. RSS feeds simultaneously from BBC news and the Met office. As Sedao can take content in almost any format, the system provides a fully featured low cost Digital Signage Solution for Traffic Wales, “Not only for today but well into the future”






				EFDC required a Digital Signage Solution to delivery content to a range of screens across their offices. Sedao was implemented on a range of screens throughout their offices. The organisation has traded from March 2008, having taken over the management of Luton Borough Council's arts, museums and library services. 			Aston University go campus wide with Sedao Digital Signage Software Sedao Image Flyer provided the ideal player software as it allows the screens to be sub-divided to display a range of different information which can be scheduled to appear at set times throughout the day. Moreover, the 46” Tek Panels supplied by the Kiosk Company were delivered SWEP enabled to allow information to be updated dynamically from a range of different approved contributors over the net and make use of the several RSS feeds already established at Aston. The reception area has proved a natural showcase and, as suspected, other schools and departments within the University are now asking for something similar for their own public areas. 			Emerald travel who specialise in Exotic Far East and Australian Holidays opens their first of 5 flag Ship Stores under the new brand of The People's Travel Agency in Baker Street, London. A digital signage solution was required to promote the agency in store and to deliver content such as holiday experience videos, RSS feeds, Testimonials, special offers etc. Sedao Digital Signage Software was provided on 2 hardware platforms. Tek Panel 57” with an optically bonded anti glare screen for the in window display together with one of Panasonic's High Definition Projector Systems for in store, to deliver an image size of 3 metres by 2 meters.





			Newmarket Racecourses move into Digital Signage for the prestigious July Racecourse and conference centre.Sedao Digital Signage software provides the perfect software platform for delivering a wide array of content across the new range of screens from LG. The 42” High Brightness panels with embedded P.C. has the new slim line bezel and is the ideal compliment to Sedao's powerful software solution.





		P & G had a requirement at their Bournemouth distribution centre for a digital signage solution at 3 separate locations within the site. The solution had to be centrally controlled to deliver such content as live TV, corporate videos, health and safety massage's and general company information together with live RSS feeds. The kiosk company were able to offer Sedao Digital Signage Software, a simple and most importantly an ease of use solution which when bundled with our exclusive range of Tek Panel systems with built in P.C. provided P & G with an “out of the box” “all in one solution”





				Tower Hamlets are one of the largest of the London Borough's. The project was to supply up to twelve touchscreen interactive kiosks as point of information terminals for use in building's such as libraries and fitness centres. The first kiosk was for the Wapping Sure Start Children's Centre. The kiosk company were awarded the project by being able to supply a modern, state of the art, cost effective solution. The solution was chosen from the new range of T Series kiosks and the model supplied was the T3 terminal. The requirement of the kiosk was for use by the general public to have controlled access to internet sites. The installation was completed in July 2008.






				The Decorative Panels Group is Britain's largest paper foil laminator and trade supplier to the furniture manufacturing and allied industries in Europe. The project for the kiosk company was to supply a cost effective touchscreen kiosk via our software partner's Siworx Ltd. Siworx provide bespoke software solutions for a wide range of Kiosk applications such as transactional, chip & pin and linking into back office systems. The requirement for the kiosks was for The Decorative Panels Group to display the products available at their showroom. The kiosks will also be used by the Group at various industry exhibitions and are easily transportable. Kiosks from the new T Kiosk range, the T1 were chosen as the hardware platform.





			Birmingham University had a requirement for teacher training aids such as whiteboards and information points we suggested the LG 4200N with embedded P.C. offering a large 42" LCD panel with the functionality of a powerful P.C. running XP Pro. The LG unit offers a high brightness display, (1366 x 768 resolution) with Pentium M technology built in and network connectivity through the on board 1GB LAN. Thus giving the University complete flexibility to run presentations and deliver content to students and visitors alike in a wide-ranging and dynamic fashion.



			Newmarket is the historic Home of Horseracing and the greatest horseracing centre in the world. It offers a treasure trove of sights and sounds for the racing enthusiast. Quite simply anyone with even just a passing interest in the "Sport of Kings" should visit Newmarket at least once in their lifetime. The kiosk company, were asked by Newmarket Race Course to identify outdoor LCD solutions enabling the racecourse to display public information through out their venue irrelevant of weather conditions. The kiosk company developed a bespoke solution for the Race Course ensuring, at all times, that the clients’ requirements and specifications were taken into account. The outcome was a 32" and 42" Outdoor LCDTV with integral weather proof speakers, filtered dual airflow systems to keep the unit dry in all environments, watertight cable entry system and rugged design.





			Traffic Wales is the Welsh Assembly Government's traffic information service, who wanted to update their plasma screens and out dated P.C.’s within there command and control centre. The solution provided is 2 x 46" Tek Panels .This "all in one" unit offers incredible resolutions (1920 x 1080) and is backed by a very powerful on board computing system running XP Pro and will provide Traffic Wales with stunning picture quality for Multi-window Viewing. The Tek Panel range is "state of the art systems" which are component upgradeable therefore fully future proofed.





			During the summer Aston University have invested in the refurbishment of their reception area, 2 large format screens were required to sit behind reception on a purpose built wall to delivery dynamic information to students, teachers and visitors alike. 2 x 46" Tek Panel’s with on-board digital signage software have been installed to deliver high resolution (1920x 1080) graphics, corporate Video, detailed information in a unique and dynamic manner.

As part of the multi million pound refit of the July Racecourse, The Summer House Restaurant "a stylish new restaurant" has been designed and created. In keeping with this theme Newmarket Racecourses wanted to add to the diners experience by installing LCD televisions to allow diners to keep up to date with the racing and latest odds via Newmarket’s own TV channel and Tote bookermakers betting service.

			The University Library opens the doors of its new £11 million facility on 16th March 2007.The new three-floor library complex - University Library - is a prototype for an energy efficient modern working and learning space, utilising the full potential of wireless and internet technologies. In keeping with this ideal the kiosk company supplied a range of Tek Panel "all in one" large LCD screens with embedded P.C. together with through glass touch screen technology. The Tek Panels are installed in a student meeting room and allow for students to interact directly by use of the touch screen, plug there own laptops to run presentations or utilize the on board networked P.C. to browse the intranet/internet.
